Custom Tattoo Work
Custom tattoos are created through a collaborative process, where ideas, imagery, and intention are shaped into a finished piece through conversation and artistic interpretation.
You do not need to arrive with a fully formed concept to work together. Many clients come in with only a loose theme, feeling, or direction and find that the finished design reflects something deeper than they initially imagined. This openness allows the artwork to unfold with care, guided by Monica’s artistic voice and years of experience.
For those who do have specific references or ideas, these are welcomed as inspiration and used to help communicate tone and vision. Final designs are always drawn uniquely for each client, balancing trust, collaboration, and creative freedom.
Booking Custom Work
There are two ways to begin custom tattoo work, depending on where you are in the process.
Book a Custom Tattoo
If you’re ready to move forward, you can choose an available date on my calendar, place a deposit, and share a brief description of what you’re looking for. After booking, I’ll review your request and follow up if I have any questions before your session.
Submit a Tattoo Proposal
If you’d like to talk through an idea or aren’t quite ready to place a deposit, you can submit a proposal through Venue Ink. This option allows space to explore alignment before scheduling.
All custom work is reviewed and approved by me. Choosing the option that best matches your readiness helps keep the process smooth and thoughtful for everyone involved.

Style & Approach
Monica Hollow is a licensed tattoo artist since 2015 and works from a private studio designed to support a calm, focused, and intentional tattooing experience.
Her work blends blackwork, black and grey realism, and sacred geometry with occult symbolism, botanicals, mythic imagery, folklore, and magical elements.
References are welcome as inspiration, though not required. Many clients arrive with only a vague idea or emotional direction and find that the final design resonates more deeply than they imagined. This openness allows the artwork to unfold organically, intuitively and with room for both trust and collaboration.
The Studio Space
Hollow Moon Tattoos & Sorcery is a private, woman-owned, LGBTQIA+ affirming studio that honors tattooing as a meaningful and embodied experience.
All tattoos are created using plant-based inks, cruelty-free supplies, and sustainable materials whenever possible, with care for the body and nervous system throughout the process.
